Job Title: Design & Drafting Supervisor

Position Overview: System One is partnering with our client seeking a talented and experienced Design & Drafting Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of designers, drafters, and support personnel. In this vital role, you will drive project execution while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cost, and schedule expectations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate a team of design and drafting professionals to ensure timely and accurate project delivery across various initiatives. Oversee resource allocation, suggesting staffing level modifications, including the recruitment of contingent talent and third-party contractors to meet peak work demands. Spearhead workforce planning and career development efforts for team members, nurturing their growth and maximizing their potential. Provide technical support and establish standards and procedures for third-party engineering contractors, reinforcing best practices on sophisticated projects. Deliver timely reports on project progress, critical issues, and efforts undertaken, ensuring transparent communication with all stakeholders. Act as the liaison between internal and external customers to define scope, cost, and schedule expectations for work products. Manage administrative tasks, including group budgeting, expense evaluations, performance assessments, and timesheet approvals. Undertake additional duties as assigned, fostering a collaborative and adaptable team culture. Qualifications: Education and Experience: Required: Vocational/Technical/Business School degree; a minimum of 8 years of related experience is necessary. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Skills: Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to safety in all operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced PC skills. Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD-compatible software (such as CADWorx Plant and CADWorx P&ID). Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and best practices is highly desirable. Why Join?
