A design firm in Chicago is looking to add a Design Coordinator to their team!
Job Description:
This individual is a liaison between regional representatives and internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience from project conception through post-installation.
Fields inquiries relating to the physical and technical aspects of productsCoordinates with internal teams to find solutions for unique products or installationsReceives, processes, and manages multiple incoming orders with unique requirements and timelinesCreates and maintains strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and designersCreates, runs, and analyzes sales and pipeline reportsControls project flow from project start through shipping phase by providing administrative direction for customers and various internal departments to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budgetAnalyzes initial project requirementsUpdates internal databases as project status changesProduces order acknowledgements for each projectMaintains and archives internal and external communication for each project using NetSuite and OutlookContinues to communicate directly with designers and engineers after project handoffFollows up on status of samples and drawings completed during quotation phaseWorks with Architectural Project Managers to establish large project timelines and phasingAttends weekly meetings with Production and Engineering to review time sensitive projectsLeads project intake meetings and communicates next steps and timelines with clientsUpdates customers on shop drawing status and requests additional information, as neededCommunicates tracking information to customer once project has shippedProvides support to assigned repsSends bi-monthly project reports to repsParticipates in showroom tours and events at the Merchandise Mart as neededQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree within Design, Architecture, or related fieldMinimum 2+ years of experienceExperience in a high-volume oriented roleExperience coordinating with designers, general contractors, sales team, specifiers, etc..Excellent communication, customer service, and multi-tasking abilitiesPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.69 - $35.58/hr.
