**Pay Rate:**
_The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour*_
**What you'll be doing as a Derrick Digger Operator:**
+ Operate a derrick digger truck and related equipment to support the installation of traffic signal lighting and infrastructure
+ Lift, move, and position materials, machines, and equipment needed for installation projects
+ Perform pre-trip inspections and load checks before leaving for job sites
+ Ensure all delivery materials are securely loaded and compliant with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
+ Provide hands-on support for field construction work, including hole drilling, pole setting, concrete foundation forming and pouring, and anchor installation
+ Demonstrate knowledge of construction materials, equipment, installation methods, and safety procedures
+ Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and job-site equipment required for assigned tasks
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project drawings to prepare layouts and complete installations accurately
+ Identify the tools and materials required for each assignment
+ Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and other trades on the job site
+ Work alongside and help guide team members assigned to assist with tasks to ensure safe and timely project completion
+ Complete assignment-related paperwork and documentation accurately
+ Follow company policies, safety procedures, and professional standards at all times
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Available shifts:**
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
**Job requirements:**
+ Must be at least 18 years old to work with PeopleReady
+ Valid driver's license required
+ CDL required or must obtain CDL within 180 days of hire
+ Ability to work safely and efficiently within job site guidelines
+ Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
+ Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow
+ Willingness to travel out of town for up to 10 days when required
+ Ability to work in and around confined spaces, manholes, trenches, and excavations
+ Ability to work near vehicle and pedestrian traffic and on uneven or slippery construction surfaces
+ Drug screen, background check, and MVR check required
