Responsibilities

The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN invites applications for an open position in the Division of Dermatologic Surgery.  The successful candidate will have an interest in a career in academic surgical dermatology with an emphasis on clinical practice, resident and fellow education, and clinical, basic, or translational research.  The current group of 7 consultant dermatologic surgeons enjoys a collegial environment, with a large group of dedicated nurses, histotechnicians, and support staff.  We enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, enthusiastic residents who participate in dermatologic surgical rotations, and a long-standing ACGME-approved fellowship program with 3 fellows who train with us each year.  We interact daily with our colleagues in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, and dermatopathology in a unified location with a shared purpose.



Qualifications

License/Certification:

Candidates must be an MD/DO with a Minnesota medical license or eligibility for a Minnesota license who has completed an ACGME accredited residency in dermatology and is Board Certified by American Board of Dermatology. Additionally, the candidate will have completed an ACGME Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology such that the candidate is board eligible or already board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for surgical care specialties may range from $290,000 to $830,500. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
