The Derivatives Trader is responsible for Derivatives and Structured Products execution for client trades, with a cross-asset scope. The Derivatives Trader also plays a lead role in participating and delivering projects and initiatives associated with Treasury and Trading and will back up functions within the Treasury Group as needed for projects, risk management, cash management, and execution.
Responsibilities
Execute Structured Products and Derivative transactions for clients, including OTC (FX, IR, Equity), and Exchange Traded (Listed options) within established risk limits/parameters.
The Derivatives Trader plays a lead role in participating and delivering projects and initiatives associated with Derivatives
Builds and maintains internal and external relationships providing efficient execution of trades including client activity. Promotes automation, reducing operational errors.
Contributes with investment ideas and strategies using structured products and OTC derivatives, adapted to the market conditions, client needs and industry trends.
Executes securities for clients, associated with ETD, and including equity and fixed income as a back-up
Back up cross functional tasks within the Treasury Group as needed for projects, risk management, cash management, and execution.
Ensures that activity is governed by proper updated policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Understanding of financial products, including derivatives.
Knowledge of Bank Regulation
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Fluency in English both written and spoken, Spanish and French are an asset
Command of banking products (FX, IR, Equity OTC derivatives, structured products and listed options), cash flows, financial reporting and analysis, management reporting, variance analysis and knowledge of fixed income and capital markets.
