The Deputy Systems Manager - Human Lander System (HLS) will\:
Support the Human Landing System (HLS) Computer Human Interface (CHI) System Management (SM) team in overseeing and advising HLS contractors in development, test, and certification activities. Perform integrated analysis of the CHI system, hardware, and software in relation to other HLS systems, the operational environment, and other interfacing spacecraft. Manage CHI requirements and verifications, including integrated analysis and decomposition. Refine and communicate CHI subsystem architectures and assess impacts of HLS design changes and other NASA and contractor decisions. Refine and communicate CHI subsystem architectures and assess impacts of HLS design changes and other NASA and contractor decisions. Identify, communicate, and track CHI risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Facilitate communication and integrated analysis with other NASA programs affecting HLS. Maintain productive working relationships with diverse technical teams, including engineering, safety, flight operations, crew office, and module providers. BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school 5-10 years' of relevant experience in engineering or systems engineering Experience with design, development, integration, and testing of complex avionics systems Planning - organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. Demonstrated leadership in roles with formal and informal authority, in large engineering teams Written and oral Communication - clear, concise, organized, and convincing communication for the intended audience. Excellent organizational skills and expert in use of MS Office tools Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision Experience working in a team environmentRequisition Preferences\:
