Deputy Site Security Manager

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Site Security Manager to join our team in Templecombe.  As Deputy Site Security Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Site Security Manager with the daily security operations and administration of our Templecombe site as well as security assistance to other Thales UK sites.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Security Manager, on a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved in:

Supporting site security and Corporate Security Office (CSO) teams with routine security office administrative activities, to ensure continuing compliance with Her Majesty’s Government (HMG), MoD and Thales UK policies

Delivering the efficient and effective co-ordination and execution of the site security operation in the areas of physical, material, document, personnel and information security, deputising for the Site Security Manager during periods of holiday

Ensuring Sites List-X Facility Security Clearance (FSC) certification, and HMG accreditations remain valid, by undertaking any security related tasks issued by the Site Security Manager  / CSO Senior team 

Acting as Crypto Custodian/Alternate, completing assurance reviews and audits

About you

Ideally, you’ll:

Be able to demonstrate relevant experience working in a similar security related role/environment OR have an interest in developing your career in this area

Possess good organisational, communication, presentation and report writing skills

Have experience of building relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels

Be a self-starter with a positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills

Have knowledge and understanding of List X and the UK MoD cryptographic procedures – desirable not essential

In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
