Airswift has been Tasked to find a Deputy QA/QC Manager professional to work on rotation in Egypt under contract for one of our major costumers.
Location: Initial onboarding in Paris (1st week), then site-based in Maadia Yard, Egypt Rotation: 8 weeks on / 2 weeks off | 6 days/week | 8 hours/day Start Date: July 2025 Contract: 6-month renewable contract
Job Scope
As a Deputy QA/QC Manager, you will support the Site QA/QC Manager in executing and monitoring all quality activities at the Maadia fabrication yard, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards. This role is pivotal in upholding safety, integrity, and quality throughout all subsea structure fabrication phases.
Key Responsibilities Support the current QA/QC Manager to implement the site-specific QA/QC plan in alignment with project quality requirements. Supervise and coordinate QA/QC personnel located in Maadia yard. Develop, implement and follow-up the Quality Recovery Plan. Implement quality indicators and associated reporting Oversee inspection activities including dimensional checks, welding inspections, NDT, coating, and FAT inspections. Support the management of non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions in close collaboration with site QA/QC Manager (based in Zeit Bay) and project QA/QC. Interface with client representatives and third-party inspectors for audits, inspections, and quality reviews. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, welds, and inspection records. Provide quality training and awareness to site personnel.
Essential Skills & Qualifications Minimum 20 years of experience in subsea fabrication activities Minimum 5 years in a QA/QC management or supervisory role Solid technical knowledge of welding, NDT and coating Strong understanding of subsea structures fabrication methodologies Proactive, structured, and resilient under pressure Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
