This position will be responsible for performing a deputy role on a capital infrastructure program management opportunity. The Deputy will support the program team in the delivery of assigned program components and contribute to advancing this strategic growth initiative for the firm **Your Key Responsibilities** + Serve as the Deputy to the Program Manager of a large capital infrastructure program, fulfilling duties as the Program Manager as required. + Lead large, complex teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments. + Establishing program/project objectives, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Company and Owner’s policies. + Verify that program and project delivery activities are consistent with Program policies, directives, business processes and procedures. + Assist with establishing and monitoring a baseline scope, budget and schedule for each project that will be used for measuring delivery performance. + Monitor project and program delivery performance through continuous tracking of various milestones, define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and variances using the control systems put in place for project delivery. + Assist Project Managers and project teams with issue resolution and decision making and determine if project issues merit escalation to the Program Leadership Team. + Assist with information flow to and from the Program Leadership Team and the project teams, as well as between project teams, and ensure proper coordination with other individuals responsible for key aspects of the Program. + Anticipate program and project needs, and assure that projects & associated tasks within the Program are staffed with the appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives within Company profit model. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Ability to navigate shifting priorities and needs. + Experienced in identifying and implementing creative solutions. + Ability to navigate and balance various perspectives in a public sector setting. + Ability to convey project needs to the project managers and clients and to formulate those needs into comprehensive plans and specifications. + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to successfully manage a team of specialized employees and subconsultants in a coordinated and integrated manner. + Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. + Knowledge of scheduling practices and cost engineering concepts. + Work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies. + Consistently adhere to and enforce internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules. **Education and Experience** + BA/BS in Engineering, or similar required; Master’s degree desired + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI), or ability to obtain within 12 months. + Minimum 10 years of program/project management experience in the water/wastewater field, including management experience on programs/projects with a cumulative value in excess of $1 Billion + Experience with the wide range of functions associated with the delivery of complex public infrastructure projects, including funding, budget and schedule management, engineering, sustainability, equity and social justice, environmental review/permitting, risk management, change management, quality management, value management, project financing, land acquisition, contract procurement, and stakeholder relations + Strong knowledge of program and project controls principles This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
