The Shipboard Missiles Organization is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual as a Deputy Program Manager to the current Program Manager for the Source-to-Scale team. The Deputy Program Manager will generate and execute a second sourcing strategy for solid rocket motors (SRMs) and solid Divert and Attitude Control Systems (DACS) while ensuring alignment with Profit & Loss (P&L) goals and supporting strategic funding initiatives. This critical role enhances supply chain resilience, mitigates risks, and ensures program success by developing and executing dual sourcing initiatives for solid propuslion components across major programs such as Standard Missile-2, Standard Missile-3, Standard Missile-6, and other shipboard systems. This position will require the selected individual to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

**What You Will Do:**
_Dual Sourcing Strategy & Execution:_
+ _Develop and implement a comprehensive second sourcing strategy for solid propulsion to ensure alignment with program and customer needs._
+ Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and program management to define technical and commercial criteria for alternate suppliers.
+ Oversee the onboarding of alternate solid propulsion suppliers and ensure successful integration into production schedules.
_Financial Management:_
+ Drive financial performance by aligning dual sourcing strategies with financial objectives, including cost optimization, profitability targets, and operational efficiency.
+ Monitor program financials and ensure dual sourcing initiatives meet or exceed cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
_Supplier Relationship and Performance Management_ :
+ Identify, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with alternate solid propulsion suppliers, ensuring capacity and capability to meet current and future program demands.
+ Negotiate contracts that optimize cost, improve schedule flexibility, and enhance supply chain resilience.
_Government Funding and Congressional Support_ :
+ Assist the Program Manager to partner with government relations teams to advocate for program funding and support congressional campaigns related to dual sourcing and defense industrial base resilience.
+ Assist the Program Manager to prepare and deliver key messaging and presentations to congressional staff, Department of Defense stakeholders, and other government entities to secure funding for solid propulsion initiatives.
_Program and Risk Management:_
+ Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to sole-source dependency, capacity constraints, and supply chain disruptions.
+ Develop and execute contingency plans to address potential risks and maintain program schedules.
+ Provide regular updates to program leadership and executive teams on progress, challenges, and milestones **.**
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
+ Collaborate with U.S. Navy, Missile Defense Agency, Department of Defense, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on dual sourcing strategies and objectives across multiple contracts/stakeholders.
+ Foster transparent communication with internal teams, customers, and government representatives to build trust and drive successful outcomes **.**

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience
+ Prior experience in supply chain, procurement, program management, or related roles within the aerospace and defense industry
+ Prior experience managing financial responsibilities, including cost management and profitability analysis.
+ Prior experience supporting government funding initiatives or congressional advocacy efforts.
+ Prior experience with Solid Rocket Motor and/or Solid DACS manufacturing, design, and supply chain dynamics.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Technical knowledge of the Solid Rocket motor and/or Solid DACS systems, including design, qualification, transition to production and production support
+ Knowledge of shipboard missile systems and their propulsion components.
+ Familiarity with defense budget processes and congressional funding cycles.
+ Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
