Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced , MEP to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate MEP project teams, including internal engineers and external contractors/consultants
Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for MEP systems
Oversee the design development, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems across projects
Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, and clients to ensure design and execution alignment
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications
Identify, analyze, and resolve technical and coordination issues related to HVAC, BMS, and other MEP services
Prepare, review, and approve project documentation including drawings, method statements, reports, and specifications
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements, building codes, and local regulations
Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage change control effectively
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement, technical submittals, and timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with scope, quality, cost, and schedule
Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct performance evaluations, and support team capability building
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including VRF/VRV, chilled water, DX systems, ventilation, pressurization, and smoke management
Expertise in HVAC design coordination, heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection
Hands-on experience with BMS / IBMS systems, including control logic, point schedules, system integration, and testing & commissioning
Proficient in HVAC schematics, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation
Thorough understanding of interior fit-out project lifecycle, from design coordination to execution, commissioning, and handover
Strong knowledge of MEP coordination with civil, electrical, interiors, fire-fighting, and life safety systems
Experience in Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) and performance validation of HVAC systems
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, NBC, local authority norms, and fire & life safety regulations
Strong capability in vendor management, technical evaluation, BOQ finalization, cost control, and billing certification
Exposure to energy-efficient HVAC solutions, sustainable design practices, and green building standards (LEED / IGBC preferred)
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, particularly in fast-track fit-out environments
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or ElectricalMinimum of 8 years of experience in MEP project management within the construction or engineering industryStrong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioningProficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) toolsExcellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationFamiliarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project or PrimaveraIn-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional groupsExperience in cost estimation and budget management for MEP projectsKnowledge of construction project lifecycle and best practicesProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to travel to project sites as neededCertifications (Optional but Preferred):• PMP / PRINCE2 (for project tracking)
