Position Title - Deputy Manager

Department - Sales

Division -Mining (Cement Business)

Reporting To - Regional Manager – Sales – Mining (Raipur) 

Job Purpose - To profitably market products and successfully manage the sales force within the assigned geographic region.

 

Job Profile:

Promote the sale of High Performance Lubricants (Fire Resistance Hydraulic Fluids, Specialty Greases, Gear Oils etc.) through regular planned visits to Cement customers throughout assigned region. Provide technical assistance and arrange successful field trials for various customer applications. Maintain competitive information on price, credit terms, sales volume and market share, competitive marketing activity etc. to enable successful negotiation with customer. Receive and indent orders from customers, liaise with technical, commercial and logistic departments to ensure order received, processed and delivered on time. Ensure all statutory and company required paperwork is up to date through effective record keeping and organization. Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; providing inputs to the annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Maintain and expand customer base; build and maintain rapport with key customers; identify new customer opportunities. Maintain regular contacts with government bodies for product approvals with specific applications.    Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. Accomplish sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor in Mining Engineering, Diploma at the minimum. MBA in Marketing / PGDBM will be an added advantage.

 

Work Experience

8 & above years of experience, preferably in the industrial sales, heavy machinery or mining equipment industries.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Proficient in spoken and written English, Hindi and the Local Language. Territory management, should have handled sales comprising of at least 1 / 2 Indian states. Good commercial acumen, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. Proficient in MS Office, and ideally SAP or similar applications. Ability to travel extensively within assigned regions.
