We are seeking a Deputy Lead Technical Engineer to be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical execution at the site, ensuring resources are available to meet program requirements. Maintains regular contact with program personnel and serves as a primary point of contact for the customer to assess performance, resolve issues or disputes, and monitor overall job satisfaction. The DTL develops and tracks technical program metrics, serves as Deputy Risk and Opportunity Management Lead, and provides backup support to the Technical Lead.\n

Position requires an active TS\/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.\n

Key Responsibilities\n\nWorks directly with customer leads and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with mission objectives, requirements, and performance expectations\nSupport Program Management Team with ramp-up and transition activities.\nProvides direction oversight and technical direction to Task Leads.\nDrive technical efficiencies across all tasks by fostering collaboration, technology sharing, innovation, best practices, and lessons learned.\nServe as the local Site Reliability Lead\nServes as a member of the Risk and Opportunity Management Board\nWorks with the tasks leads to track program risks and opportunities, creating mitigations and driving to closure\nCreate and track program technical metrics.\nProvide input to program status reports and present technical status at to both internal and external leadership\nDevelop and review technical documentation, including design artifacts, interface specifications, and test plans.\nWorks with task leads to define key performance indicators (KPIs) against which to monitor progress and performance.\nWorks with task leads to create corrective action plans\nMentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.\n\n

Required Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.\n8+ years of engineering experience\nStrong background in systems engineering, software engineering, system administration or related discipline.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.\nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nSite Reliability Engineering (SRE) Foundation Certification or ability to obtain shortly upon acceptance\nExperience with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies.\n\n

Desired Qualifications\n\nKnowledge of CMMC, NIST, or other federal compliance frameworks.\n\n
