**Role Purpose** + As a representative of leadership in GKN JV with HASCO (SDS) assigned by GKN, this role will be responsible for executing GKN's strategy in SDS, particularly in commercial, procurement and ePT operation areas, optimising SDS internal processes to enable more transparency within GKN's global organisation + With other SDS MO members, actively carry out the decisions of the board, organise and conduct the daily operation of the company, propose an annual budget to the board and execute the approved budget to reach financial targets + Develop and propose an SDS strategy for the board approval + Maintaining high-performance relationships with other SDS MO members, and JV partners **Key Responsibilities** **Strategy & Planning** + With other MO members, support the SDS general manager to carry out the decisions of the board, organise and conduct the daily operation of the company, propose an annual budget to the board and execute the approved budget to reach financial targets + Develop and propose an SDS long-term strategy for the board approval + Maintaining high-performance relationships with other SDS MO members, and JV partners + As a representative of GKN in SDS, convey GKN's strategy in SDS, particularly in commercial, procurement and ePT operation areas, and optimise SDS internal processes to connect with GKN's global organisation **Commercial** + Development, implementation and direction of a stretching sales and marketing strategy in SDS, which facilitates sustainably profitable growth in the next five years, directs and influences sales and marketing strategies and plans to achieve targeted sales growth and maximise opportunities + Increase sales by forging more developed relationships with current customers across the broader portfolio of products and services and proactively developing new business opportunities. + Develop and implement a stretching but sustainable procurement strategy in SDS, to achieve the targeted savings and maximise opportunities + Build a robust, high-performance supply chain with strong partnerships with strategic suppliers **Qualifications and Skills** **Formal Qualifications** **_Essential_** + Degree qualified – business and/or engineering **Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required** **_Essential_** + Excellent leadership and communication skills + Broad leadership capabilities – strategic (10+ years) planning and organising, people, commercial, manufacturing, financial, programme management and continuous improvement in a Western Automotive JV organisation + Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; a team player + Working within a matrixed organisation + Great knowledge and experience in leading various functional teams in cross-cultural context, experience in business management in China is an advantage + Able to work autonomously and take executive decisions promptly to ensure effective leadership of the business + Fluent in Mandarin Chinese **Language Skills** Fluent in Mandarin Chinese English - Essential GKN Automotive is the market leader in conventional, all-wheel and electrified drive systems and solutions.
