Deputy General Manager

Health & Safety Leadership

Develop and implement HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) strategies aligned with project goals and regulatory requirements Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning for all phases of hydro/PSP construction and operation. Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA).

Regulatory Compliance & Audits

Monitor adherence to environmental permits, safety codes, and legal obligations. Conduct internal audits and facilitate external inspections to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit incident reports, environmental impact assessments, and safety documentation.

Emergency Preparedness & Incident Management

Develop and maintain emergency response plans for scenarios like flooding, landslides, or tunnel collapses. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Training & Culture Building

Organize safety training programs for employees, contractors, and site visitors. Promote a safety-first culture through awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.

Environmental Stewardship

Oversee environmental monitoring programs (e.g., water quality, biodiversity, noise, and air emissions). Ensure waste management, pollution control, and ecological conservation measures are in place. Engage with local communities and environmental stakeholders to maintain transparency and trust.

Project Integration & Reporting

Collaborate with engineering, execution, and planning teams to integrate HSE into project design and execution. Provide regular HSE performance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies. BE/B Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical on regular basis. Diploma in Industrial Safety Management.  Minimum 20 yrs of experience out of which minimum 15 yrs in Hydro/PSP.
