Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Deputy Engineering Manager to join their team in KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Engineering Manager in managing the overall engineering and design function of the project.

Oversee all design stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, IFC) ensuring alignment with project goals and luxury hospitality standards.

Coordinate between architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist design teams to ensure fully integrated design outputs.

Manage consultant and sub-consultant teams to ensure timely and high-quality design deliverables.

Review and validate design submissions for compliance with project requirements, local codes, and international standards.

Lead value engineering initiatives, design reviews, and technical workshops to optimize quality, cost, and constructability.

Provide technical guidance to the project management team and client representatives.

Support the development of design management procedures, workflows, and reporting systems.

Monitor design progress, track design risks, and resolve interface and coordination issues.

Ensure all design changes are managed through proper change control procedures.

Liaise with permitting authorities, as needed, to ensure timely approvals of design documentation.

Deputize for the Engineering Manager as required.


Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or MEP).

Master’s degree is an advantage.

Minimum 20 + years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a PMC.

Proven experience in delivering luxury hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, high-end residential).

Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and design management processes.

Solid knowledge of Saudi Building Codes, international design standards, and authority requirements in KSA.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong communication and client-facing abilities.

Proficient in design and project management tools such as BIM, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.

Stakeholder management across client, consultants, and contractors.

High attention to detail and quality.

Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced and high-standard project environments.
