Deputy Chief Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for systems design, integration, and implementation in complex IT environments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum 7 years of engineering leadership experience in complex IT environments Experience with federal or enterprise-level IT programs across multiple disciplines Familiarity with government security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, FedRAMP) Certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or SAFe

Preferred Skills:

Experience with DevSecOps, infrastructure as code (IaC), automation Deep understanding of enterprise systems engineering practices Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence

Responsibilities:

Serve as senior technical authority for systems design and implementation activities Ensure alignment with customer's architecture and operational requirements Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption and zero-trust architecture Collaborate to define technical strategy and support decision-making Drive consistency across networking, cloud, application development domains

Pay Details: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour
