Deputy Chief Accountant

 

Job Summary: 

The Deputy Chief Accountant supports the company’s financial and accounting management, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting and tax records, coordinating reporting processes, and contributing to the organization’s tax strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

Coordinates and supervises the accounting team’s activities under the guidance of the Chief Accountant. Reviews and validates accounting documents in accordance with current legislation and internal policies. Manages and oversees the preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, non-resident income tax, social contributions, etc.). Monitors legislative changes in the accounting and tax fields and ensures their correct implementation within the company. Provides internal tax consultancy and proposes solutions for tax optimization. Contributes to the development and implementation of accounting and tax policies and procedures. Prepares and analyzes financial and tax reports for management. Collaborates with external auditors and regulatory authorities. Ensures compliance with legal deadlines for financial and tax reporting. Prepares the transfer pricing documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Taxation). Certified Accountant (CECCAR) or Tax Consultant qualification. Experience in international companies or complex organizational structures. Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role. Solid knowledge of accounting and tax legislation (including recent updates). Experience in preparing and reviewing complex financial statements and tax returns. Team management and coordination skills. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software. Analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize effectively. Good command of English (written and spoken).
