The Department Manager IV will bring a wealth of experience to creating and managing top-performing teams within the Cleveland Clinic system. In this role, you will oversee a team of 28 Administrative Assistants and Surgical Coordinators, working together to sustain the high-functioning Head and neck Department. You will ensure the program continues to meet the greatest standards of patient care, while driving success in value-based operations, building strong workplace relationships and coaching fellow caregivers. We're looking for a caregiver who has experience in project management, with a strong track record of driving results and advancing organizational goals. This position allows you to hone your leadership skills and explore the endless opportunities supplied by Cleveland Clinic.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 4:30PM or 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Supervise caregivers and the technical and administrative functions of an assigned group.
Act as a technical resource for team members.
Implement goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units to achieve goals.
Maintain staffing levels and ensure cross coverage.
Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
Provide leadership and training.
Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
Analyze workflow and procedures.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
Develop an effective work team.
Encourage and support morale building activities.
Lead and implement large process improvement projects.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate’s Degree and four years of related supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED and six years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree
Healthcare experience
Experienced in provider relations and project management, with a strong track record of driving results and advancing organizational goals.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds
May require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
