Department Supervisor
**Position Title:** Department Supervisor – Food Production **Compensation:** Competitive, based on experience and company pay structure **Schedule:** Full-time, aligned with production needs **Reports to:** Senior Operations Leadership **Key Responsibilities** + Provide daily leadership to production staff in multiple areas, including cooked and ready-to-eat food lines + Maintain high standards for product quality, food safety, and packaging compliance + Ensure all regulatory and internal food safety protocols (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SSOP) are consistently followed + Promote and maintain a safe, efficient, and respectful work environment + Monitor and manage departmental yields, waste, and inventory to meet productivity and cost-efficiency goals + Oversee product scheduling and production planning to meet customer and operational requirements + Ensure compliance with all temperature control, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention procedures + Lead continuous improvement initiatives in workflow efficiency and team collaboration + Support process evaluations and contribute to innovation through new product development or equipment recommendations + Take an active role in developing, mentoring, and evaluating staff to support team performance and morale **Qualifications** + Prior supervisory experience in a food production or deli environment, preferably with exposure to ready-to-eat processes + In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations + Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills + Technical proficiency with production systems and food processing equipment + Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting **Physical Requirements** + Ability to work on your feet for extended periods + Capable of lifting moderately heavy materials as needed + Comfortable working in a refrigerated production environment **Work Conditions & PPE** + Frequent exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and food-safe chemical agents + Use of standard PPE (e.g., protective headgear, gloves, gowns, and hair/beard coverings) is required **Training Provided** + Onboarding and HR orientation + Safety and food handling protocols + Department-specific procedures + Job-specific training and management development **Pay Details:** $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
