Refinery Department Superintendent - Frankfort, IN

The ADM Frankfort site is a soybean crushing facility which includes an onsite refinery for bleaching and deodorizing 2 types of soybean oils - general commercial and hi-oleic. The Refinery Superintendent is a key member of the Site Leadership Team and is responsible for leading refinery operations (refining, bleaching, deodorizing, oil loading and unloading, water treatment and boiler operations) to optimize productivity and drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and asset performance for the refinery.  

Job Responsibilities:Act as a role model for site safety, and drive strong safety, process safety, and food safety performance.Ensure adherence to ADM standards and regulatory requirements for refinery operations.Ensure achievement of operational requirements in refining, bleaching, deodorizing, boilers, wastewater treatment, and oil loading.Continuously improve safety and environmental performance, food safety/quality, cost, efficiency, and asset effectiveness through Performance Excellence, Readiness, and collaboration with site personnel and the Centers of Excellence.Develop a high-performance team through employee engagement, mentoring and development of team members and drive accountability and ownership.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, and training standards.Lead investigations and participate in site audits, SQF audits and sanitation items throughout the refinery.Assist in the identification, development, and execution of capital projects.Partner with facility leader to create a continuous improvement culture throughout complex and all colleaguesJob Requirements:Experience leading teams and continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent teamwork and collaborative skillsStrong communication skills (verbal and written) to communicate at all levels within an organizationJob Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering is highly preferred.
