The Department Manager IV will bring a wealth of experience in building and managing high-performing teams within a healthcare environment. A successful candidate will thrive in managing department personnel and operations to meet organizational goals. This role is part of the Neurological Institute, a growing area with the opportunity to help build the workflows of future neurological care in the new NI building, that will leverage technology to make patient assessment more accessible and enhance the care we provide to our patients. Facilitating this care is a core part of this role, and advancing the initiatives of this center will help build leadership skills for the selected candidate that will provide them with the skills they need for future growth.
**A caregiver in this position works from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Manage department personnel and operations, including staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management.
+ Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives.
+ Monitor quality and financial performance.
+ Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards.
+ Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies.
+ Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application.
+ Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, enhance skills and improve scope of service.
+ Participate in managers meetings and relevant committees as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or a related field
+ Six years of supervisory or management experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Healthcare experience

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
+ May require extended periods of sitting, standing and walking.
+ Must be able to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.
+ Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person.
+ May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $40.48
Maximum hourly: $61.74
