Department Manager III - Laboratory Logistics

As a **Department Manager III supporting Logistics within Laboratory Operations** , you will oversee daily functions that ensure the accurate, timely, and reliable movement of specimens, supplies, and critical materials across the enterprise. You will lead a team of logistics caregivers responsible for coordinating systemwide pickup schedules, maintaining chain‑of‑custody integrity, optimizing routing workflows, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. In this role, you will manage operational performance, develop staffing strategies, guide process improvements, oversee budget planning, and support the implementation of new technologies and procedures. Your leadership is essential to maintaining efficiency and precision within the lab transport pipeline-work that, while behind the scenes, is fundamental to the speed and quality of diagnostic testing and, ultimately, the exceptional patient care Cleveland Clinic provides every day. **A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 5:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Manage department personnel and operations, including staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management. + Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives. + Monitor quality and financial performance. + Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards. + Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies. + Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application. + Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service. + Analyze programs and make improvements. + Participate in meetings and relevant committees as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field + Five years of supervisory or management experience in a related setting + OR Master's Degree and four years of experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Healthcare experience + Experience with logistics related software + Experience leading a team of drivers or logistics personnel Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
