Step Into a Key Role as Department Assistant – Onsite in Mascoutah, IL | Construction Industry
Schedule: 7 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday (5/10 schedule required), with possible Saturdays and Sundays
Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly organized and proactive Department Assistant to support department operations at an active construction site in Mascoutah, IL. Your contributions will ensure smooth payroll processing, effective communication, and efficient office management in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Own:
Manage essential administrative tasks like payroll time entry, verifying jobsite data, and supporting new hire documentation with precision
Maintain document control and ensure timely processing of deliveries to keep operations moving without a hitch
Keep the office stocked and assist with coordinating training and events, playing a key role in day-to-day team success
Collaborate closely with department management to align efforts with business goals and address urgent needs swiftly
Work onsite in a field office trailer on an active construction site—your reliable vehicle will be your best tool for navigating the site
Who You Are:
A detail-driven professional with at least 3 years of administrative experience, ideally in construction or a related field
Tech-savvy, comfortable with MS Access, Excel, Word, and preferably Oracle systems
A strong communicator who thrives working independently, with a positive and professional demeanor
Physically capable of occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and comfortable working outdoors amid varying weather conditions
Ready for a full-time, hands-on role with a traditional Monday–Friday schedule plus availability for weekend shifts as needed
Work Schedule & Location:
Hours: 7 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday (5/10 schedule required), with possible Saturdays and Sundays
Location: Must be onsite at Mascoutah, IL (No remote or hybrid options)
Local candidates only—vehicle required for travel on gravel roads and between project sites
Work boots required (not reimbursed)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
