As a Department Analyst supporting pre- and post-award research finance within the Medical Specialty Institute, you will play a key role in supporting research operations through the collection, analysis and evaluation of data related to resources, services, programs, systems, budgets and procedures. In this role, you will partner with departments to identify trends, improve processes and support informed decision-making. Your contributions help ensure the effective management of research funding and operations while advancing Cleveland Clinic's mission of providing exceptional patient care.
**A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with approximately two days on-site and three days remote each week. (flexible)**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Analyze and evaluate operational and financial functions of administrative and operational units.
+ Analyze departmental resources, services, systems, budgets and programs.
+ Prepare reports based on analysis.
+ Conduct basic statistical analysis and evaluation of unit services and performance.
+ Identify program or service strengths, weaknesses, and financial impact.
+ Identify opportunities for service and program improvement.
+ Develop special reports and recommendations.
+ Assist with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems.
+ Review and evaluate current procedures and systems and develop recommendations for improvement.
+ Maintain awareness of and comply with various regulatory guidelines (JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field **and** one year of statistical analysis experience **or** five years of relevant experience in a health care setting
+ **OR** High School Diploma/GED **and** five years of experience
+ **OR** Associate's Degree **and** three years of experience
+ **OR** Master's Degree
+ Excellent analytical, communication and customer service skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Master's degree
+ Background in accounting or finance
+ Excel experience
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum Annual Salary: $43,200.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $65,880.00
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
