Position Purpose:
Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to join our mission-driven team. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality dental care, balancing prevention, education, and treatment in accordance with Georgia state guidelines. You’ll play a vital role in improving oral health outcomes for underserved communities.
What You Will Do:
Provide comprehensive dental care to adults (18–65) and geriatric patients (65+), with occasional care for pediatric and adolescent patients.
Deliver services including prevention, education, diagnosis, and treatment.
Participate in community outreach events and health fairs 3–4 times annually.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the oral health needs of patients, including those with infectious diseases.
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold clinic standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Active Georgia Dental License.
DEA and Medicaid numbers (required for PRN roles).
Bilingual in Spanish (required for some locations).
Minimum 1 year of dental practice experience (5+ years preferred).
Training in periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and oral manifestations of HIV.
