Job Description

The Dental Receptionist is responsible for providing front-office support in a busy dental practice. This individual serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering a positive patient experience by managing scheduling, communications, and administrative support for the dental team.

ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule dental appointments as needed.Manage high-volume phone calls while maintaining excellent customer service.Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic scheduling system.Coordinate daily schedules to ensure smooth patient flow.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with office policies and procedures.Support dental office operations and assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience with prior authorizations.Proficiency in healthcare electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Front desk management and clerical skills.Experience in healthcare and medical environments.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist.High School Diploma required.Work Environment

The dental practice operates with flexible hours, requiring a commitment to a 40-hour workweek, with availability to work some Sundays. The practice is open from Sunday 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. The work environment offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy healthcare organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
