What You’ll Do As a key member of our front office team, you will: + Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and a friendly smile + Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and adjustments to maximize provider efficiency + Handle a high volume of phone calls with excellent customer service and clear communication + Accurately enter, update, and maintain patient records in EMR and scheduling systems + Coordinate daily provider schedules to ensure smooth patient flow + Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and office policies + Assist with prior authorizations and other administrative healthcare tasks + Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to resolve scheduling or patient concerns + Support general front‑desk and clerical operations to keep the office running efficiently What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications + 1–2 years of experience as a medical or dental receptionist or in a similar healthcare front‑desk role + Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems + Experience with prior authorizations + Strong data entry, organizational, and clerical skills + Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes while remaining calm and professional + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills + Commitment to patient privacy and office procedures + High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills & Attributes + Previous experience in a dental or healthcare practice + Strong attention to detail and adaptability in a changing schedule + Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively + Comfort using office technology and healthcare software + Interest in developing new skills within a growing healthcare organization Work Environment & Schedule This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week) in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered dental practice. Office hours are: + Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. + Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. + Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Some Sunday availability is required. Flexible scheduling may be available, including the possibility of four 10‑hour shifts, depending on practice needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
