What You’ll DoAs a key member of our front office team, you will:
Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and a friendly smileManage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and adjustments to maximize provider efficiencyHandle a high volume of phone calls with excellent customer service and clear communicationAccurately enter, update, and maintain patient records in EMR and scheduling systemsCoordinate daily provider schedules to ensure smooth patient flowMaintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and office policiesAssist with prior authorizations and other administrative healthcare tasksCollaborate closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to resolve scheduling or patient concernsSupport general front‑desk and clerical operations to keep the office running efficientlyWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
1–2 years of experience as a medical or dental receptionist or in a similar healthcare front‑desk roleProficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systemsExperience with prior authorizationsStrong data entry, organizational, and clerical skillsAbility to multitask and manage high call volumes while remaining calm and professionalExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsCommitment to patient privacy and office proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills & Attributes
Previous experience in a dental or healthcare practiceStrong attention to detail and adaptability in a changing scheduleSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyComfort using office technology and healthcare softwareInterest in developing new skills within a growing healthcare organizationWork Environment & ScheduleThis is a full‑time position (40 hours per week) in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered dental practice. Office hours are:
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Some Sunday availability is required. Flexible scheduling may be available, including the possibility of four 10‑hour shifts, depending on practice needs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
