Dental Assistant – Corrections (Aberdeen, WA) Location: Aberdeen, WA Pay Range: $28–$30 per hour (based on experience) Start Date: average- 2 weeks from offer Schedule: Mon-Fri Day shift Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join the team at an all-male corrections facility in Aberdeen, WA. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential dental care in a secure environment while ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities + Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures. + Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas. + Take and process dental radiographs as directed. + Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility protocols. + Support infection control and sterilization procedures. + Provide compassionate care while maintaining security awareness. Requirements + Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent dental assisting experience. + Certification: Active Washington State Registered Dental Assistant certification. + BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. + Preferred: Experience working with incarcerated individuals is a plus. The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize dental tools, and assist during any dental procedures.
