**Req Number** 166364 Job Description Provides chair-side assistance to Dentist during examination and treatment. Prepares and cleans dental instruments, equipments and supplies. Takes and develops x-rays. Maintains dental clinic in clean and orderly condition. Job Responsibility + * Assists Dentist during patient examination and treatment. + Prepares patient by draping with sterile sheet or other covering. + Arranges dental instruments, materials, and medications on tray. + Passes instruments to Dentist during examination and treatment. + Prepares and mixes amalgams and silicates, and pours models. + * Prepares dental instruments, equipment, and supplies for use; cleans and disinfects dental instruments, supplies, and units; oils equipment. + * Takes and develops x-rays. + * Assists on dental cases in main and ambulatory operating room. + * Maintains Dental Clinic in clean and orderly condition. + * Instructs visiting students. + *Assists at reception area. + Receives telephone calls; answers routine inquiries. + Files and pulls dental charts. + Types daily record sheets. + Types form requesting charts from Medical Records Department. + Checks charts to ensure that doctor's notes are written and signed. + Checks dental charts to ensure that all X-Rays, case analysis sheets, etc are resent and in good order.Schedules patient appointments + Performs related duties, as required. *ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification + High School Diploma or equivalent, required. + Minimum one (1) year recent, relevant experience, required.ORGraduate of a dental assistant certificate program, required. + Ability to communicate effectively. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
