Job Title: Dental AssistantDepartment: Dental Location: St. Marys Campus Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days SUMMARY:As a Dental Assistant, your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a sterile office environment and keep accurate records greatly contributes to the success of the dentist and the satisfaction of the patient. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Dental Assistance. Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes + Sterilization & Maintenance. Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures + Documentation & Coordination. Maintain all patient records and update as necessary REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Dental Assisting experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with staff, patients and visitors EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
