About the role
As Demi Chef, you will utilise your creative flair and passion for food to exceed diner’s expectations. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes and assist with food cost controls. This role will involve catering for all meal periods and all outlets including The Douglas Bar, Executive Lounge, In Room Dining as well as Events. Specifically your role will involve:
Preparing and presenting high quality dishes
Keeping all working areas clean and tidy to ensure no cross contamination
Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menusAssist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient mannerEnsure food items are of a good quality and stored correctlyContribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targetsAwareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
