Demand Planning Team Leader

Location: Hybrid, 3 days a week from home and 2 days in our office in Poznań.

Purpose:

The Demand Planning Team Leader will oversee a team of demand planners to ensure accurate and efficient forecasting processes that align with the company's strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in driving the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, enhancing forecast accuracy, and ensuring seamless collaboration across various business functions.

Responsibilities:  

Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of demand planners to achieve departmental goals.Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.Forecasting and Planning:Oversee the development and maintenance of a 36-month rolling forecast that accurately reflects customer growth and market trends.Ensure the demand planning process is executed to the highest standards, utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives.Facilitate and lead S&OP meetings to drive consensus and strategic decision-making.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning function.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for demand planning activities.Act as a key point of contact for demand-related inquiries and issues.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyse market trends, customer data, and historical sales to inform demand forecasts.Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on forecast accuracy and demand trends.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related field, with a track record of leadership.Proficiency in ERP systems and demand planning software (e.g., JDA, SAP).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and levels.Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage change.Initiative to exceed basic requirements and think strategically.Hands-on approach with a self-reliant and proactive attitude.Ability to independently take action and work autonomously.
