The role:

The purpose of this role is to control inventory and plan the demand for the Rock Tools Region Southern Africa.

Key Performance Areas:

Lead the area Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings for areas of responsibility.Collect forecast data, perform gap, or trend analysis, and recommend process improvements.Communicate and collaborate the forecasting and inventory management data with the regional key stakeholders.Provide feedback and make recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to the forecast.Provide support to internal departments to improve inventory management.Maintain inventory parameters in collaboration with regional manager for all responsible stockrooms.Perform replenishment planning based on the forecast.Release orders according to system requisitions and customer orders.Manage expediting requests from regions.Perform detailed inventory analysis opportunities and optimize inventory levels.Work with all relevant stakeholders to establish both short- and long-term inventory strategiesMonitor indicators related to inventory (Fill rate, Obsolete Slowing-Moving Inventory, Days-In Inventory (DII), Order Fulfillment Lead Time (OFLT), Forecast accuracy, Airfreight etc.).Provide back up support to team members when required.

Matric/equivalent qualificationBCom Supply Chain Management qualificationKnowledge of S&OP processAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical skillsExperience in root cause analysisExcellent time management skillsAbility to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detailAbility to implement and own process changesGood presentation skills (verbal and written)Experience with any forecasting toolsValid drivers' license
