We're currently hiring for a Demand Planner on behalf of one of our clients in Jacksonville, FL!
Job Description & Responsibilities:
As a Demand Planner, you will manage ERP and demand planning software to optimize product demand and eliminate shortages due to seasonal items. You will work with line of business leaders, vendors, and historical data to develop the best statistical forecast, implement Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) at the product family level, and differentiate between SKUs that require a base statistical resupply model and those that need manual input. You will also manage vendor performance and optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time, and other demand drivers to ensure inventory aligns with demand.
Initiate weekly and monthly reports to determine product demand.Diagnose inventory accuracy with warehouse stores.Manage vendor performance relevant to lines of business, including lead time, delivery accuracy, and percentage of delivery on first receipt.Optimize inventory balance and provide input and resupply models to buyers.Conduct inventory optimization and SKU rationalization, analyzing cost and demand needs.Manage redistribution of inventory in incorrect locations and identify profitable relocation methods.Analyze forecasting and trends using advanced systems.Work with branches to assess new customer acquisition.Ensure planning accuracy by owning forecasting.Place purchasing orders and address any discrepancies.Ensure the supply chain meets demand requirements.
Essential Skills:
Experience with data entry, email correspondence, and forecasting.Proficiency in vendor management and account management.Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes.Experience with scheduling, production, and inventory planning.Proficiency in Excel, AS400, ERP systems, and SAP.Strong data analysis skills.Work Environment
The work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The role offers growth opportunities with merit-based reviews and potential pay increases. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
