Demand Planner

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee inventory planning, purchasing, and monitoring to meet organizational standards and customer needs. The ideal candidate will excel at analyzing inventory data, optimizing processes, and collaborating with teams to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain consistent oversight of inventory levels, including finished goods and bulk items, across warehouses.
• Process customer service orders, reconcile discrepancies, and track freight and backorders to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators such as inventory values, lead times, fill rates, and safety stock levels.
• Conduct regular analysis of sales forecasts and supply chain data to determine inventory requirements.
• Recommend process improvements for inventory reporting, sourcing, and efficiency enhancements.
• Manage excess inventory by tracking, measuring, and disposing of surplus items as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address inventory challenges and optimize packaging and purchasing strategies.
• Evaluate freight options to balance cost and delivery efficiency in partnership with the Traffic Manager.
• Assist with pricing updates, forecast reviews, and data management for various operational needs.
• Participate in special projects, including new customer rollouts, distribution flow enhancements, and freight cost reduction initiatives. Requirements • Proven experience in inventory analysis and demand planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain and sales data.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with freight cost analysis and optimization.
• Knowledge of key performance indicators related to inventory management.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives in inventory and distribution.
