Raytheon’s Optics Consolidated Manufacturing Center (OCMC) in Richardson, TX, plays a pivotal role in enhancing Raytheon’s competitive edge in optical components, assemblies, and systems. We need an early career Demand Planner (aka Demand Controller) to plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules in alignment with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and program requirements. The Demand Planner assesses and implements schedule changes, improves business processes as necessary, tracks and communicates the status and constraints to successful production execution including material availability, tooling readiness, equipment availability, and other protentional operational issues.
You will help prepare and support various reports utilized by the organization for day-to-day execution including Work In Progress (WIP) management and monthly throughput tracking. You will also help create commit/build plans, managing metrics, and driving part shortage resolution. You will collaborate and coordinate cross-functional interdepartmental activity in support of production requirements (i.e. with Quality Assurance, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Logistics).
This is a day-shift schedule and relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do:
Drive and manage high-visibility programs, overseeing all aspects from inception to completion.Prepare work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.Work with program support staff and factory leadership to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.Collaborate with other Demand Planners and Master Schedulers to align MRP requirements to customer schedules.Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.Working daily to confirm material supply and demands for multiple part numbers.Analyzing metrics to identify and take corrective action on unfavorable trendsQualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.Relevant experience is manufacturing work related to forecasting product demand, factory efficiency, and/or supply chain operations.Experience using SAP enterprise resource planning software.Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Qualifications We Prefer:

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
