Main responsibilities:

[Hiring team to provide specific responsibilities here. [Target 5 – 10 max main responsibilities] Lead daily operations of the Service Deli, ensuring a clean, well‑organized, and customer‑focused department Deliver high‑quality customer service and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner Train, schedule, supervise, and coach deli associates to ensure proper staffing and performance Plan daily food production, manage inventory levels, and order supplies as needed Prepare, display, and merchandise hot and cold deli foods, trays, and specialty items Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, weights and measures, and company policies Operate and oversee the safe use of deli equipment, including slicers and food preparation tools Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation to drive sales and customer satisfaction Perform cash handling duties, including operating registers and processing customer payments

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Soft skills:

Strong customer service and hospitality mindset Effective communication and interpersonal skills Leadership and team‑building abilities Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment Positive attitude with a focus on creating a welcoming customer experience Dependability, accountability, and sound judgment

Competencies: 

Deli or food service operations management Employee training, scheduling, and supervision Inventory management and production planning Customer issue resolution and service recovery Food safety and sanitation compliance Cash handling and point‑of‑sale operations

Knowledge: 

Deli products including meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items Food preparation techniques and equipment operation Food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards Weights and measures regulations Basic math, inventory tracking, and sales reporting Company policies, procedures, and customer service standards

Abilities:

Ability to work independently and make quality decisions with minimal supervision Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under time constraints Ability to operate deli equipment safely and train others on proper use Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products and equipment as required Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and varying hours
