Deburring Associate - 2nd shift

 Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in deburring, finishing, or metalworking in the aerospace industry is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical deburring equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in L&D in a manufacturing setting. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs., and perform repetitive hand motions. 

Salary Range: $20/hr wage + 12% shift differential + eligibility for annual bonuses

Shift: Deburring Associate - 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Deburring Associate to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from metal fittings to ensure compliance with strict aerospace industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of manual and mechanical deburring techniques, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety protocols. 

Key Responsibilities:

'         Perform manual deburring operations using hand tools such as files, scrapers, and deburring knives.

'         Operate mechanical deburring equipment, including tumblers, grinders, and pneumatic tools.

'         Inspect metal fittings for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.

'         Ensure all finished parts meet precise tolerances and aerospace industry quality standards.

'         Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure proper finishing.

'         Work with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify part specifications.

'         Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work environment, and properly handle hazardous materials when necessary.

'         Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to identify and address quality concerns.

'         Maintain and perform basic preventive maintenance on deburring tools and equipment.

Complete production logs and documentation as required.
