Job Description

Join a dynamic manufacturing company as a Deburr Supervisor responsible for leading a team in the deburring process of various metal components. This role involves hands-on work with materials such as aluminum alloys, copper alloys (including Beryllium Copper), stainless steel, high heat-treat materials, titanium, lightweight composites, phenolics, and plastics. The position offers a stable first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm, with rare overtime.

ResponsibilitiesDeburr various metal parts to remove sharp edges left as a product of machining.Inspect critical dimensions to ensure components adhere to blueprint specifications.Report and tag any non-conforming parts, such as wear or defects, and report any damage to supervisor.Responsible for the permanent application of part identification for traceability purposes.Set up and operate ink marking machines for each job as assigned.Clean and maintain machines, ensuring equipment is in optimal production condition.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers as needed.Operate equipment in the deburr area.Oversee a team of 2-3 deburring technicians.Clean parts and work areas as necessary.Crosstrain in other areas as needed.Perform other duties based on the needs of the Machine Shop.Essential SkillsHands-on experience with aluminum alloys, copper alloys (including Beryllium Copper), stainless steel, high heat-treat materials, titanium, lightweight composites, phenolics, and plastics.Proficiency in deburring, grinding, production, hand tools, grinders, sanding, deburring, polishing, and supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment that is dusty and loud.Ability to read and understand precautions, safety, sketches, blueprints, and other specifications necessary to perform job functions.Experience with grinders, air tools, and edge break knives, blueprints, and other related tools.Ideal 3 years of supervisor/lead experience.Ideal 8-10 years total of deburring/manufacturing experience.Requires frequent bending, reaching, use of hands, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, handling, or feeling regularly throughout the workday.Must be able to lift up to 20 to 30 pounds without assistance and move objects up to 50 pounds.Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.Why Work Here

Work Environment

The manufacturing environment is dusty and loud, with high noise levels and prolonged sitting. It involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and movement. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with rare overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
