You Are:
We are seeking a Debug Engineer to process and structure complex semiconductor data for a new AI application. Your primary role is to use your deep industry knowledge and Python scripting skills to parse, clean, and label technical documents. This foundational work is critical for building the intelligence of our system.
The opportunity:
· Debug the issues assigned to identify root cause.
· Prepare test systems by assembling the required hardware, flashing FW and installing OS.
· Analyze crash dumps, system logs, and performance traces to identify root causes.
· Investigate hardware-software interaction issues, including driver-related problems.
· Work closely with Customer team in achieving the deliverables.
· Publish daily and weekly status reports.
· Writing defect reports for the issues detected.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
· 7+ yrs. of Platform debug experience of BIOS/FW/platform of Server/Client with Intel architecture.
· Debugging Platform issues on a Windows based PC platform.
· Knowledge of various subsystems and interfaces in a PC Client system, especially in GMD domain.
· Knowledge and experience in using debug tools like WinDbg.
· Ability to learn new platform features quickly for validation and debug.
· Ability to understand, articulate and isolate the issues observed.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different teams.
· Good to have Skills:
· Experience in debug with Intel platform designs.
· Experience in using Intel ITP or LTB Desired Skills:
· Has experience of SysDebug.
· Debug experience with any of these domains:
· Communications/Connectivity (LAN, WiFi, BT, WWAN).
· Power Management/ Power Delivery.
· Processor overclocking/ Turbo/ Thermal features.
· Storage/USB 3 & Type C/ Thunderbolt.
· Graphics & Multimedia (Audio & Video technologies) • Security.
· AI/ML Qualification:
· Bachelor degree in electrical/ computer engineering or a closely related field.
· Skills:
· Debugging, Debugging Tools, Kernel Debugger.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Oregon
Compensation Range: $65,000-$98,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
