The search will remain open until the position is filled. **Position Responsibilities** This position provides administrative leadership for the Police Training & Education Division and the Liberal Arts and Sciences Division. It also serves as the Director of Belonging and Civic Engagement Initiatives. The position is part of the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) unit. Deans are responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing policies, procedures, and practices that align with college/system requirements. Specific responsibilities include responding to student issues, program review, faculty evaluations, and divisional operations. The position works closely with faculty and the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to foster relationships with the community, other institutions, and local and regional law enforcement agencies. Deans of Educational Services contribute to student affairs and serve as members of the President’s Leadership Council (PLC). PLC members are expected to communicate widely in their divisions and assigned areas and promote a culture of respect and innovation. **Key Responsibilities Include:** + Provide strategic and supervisory leadership for teaching and learning, including academic scheduling and faculty oversight for both divisions. + Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff, oversee hiring processes. + Provide direction to the Minnesota POST Board-approved PPOE Coordinator and ensure program compliance. + Coordinate with the EDGE Center on credit and non-credit educational opportunities. + Address student conduct issues and support divisional operations. + Lead belonging and civic engagement efforts including Think and Thrive/Senior College and chairing the Civic Engagement Committee. + Assist the VPASA with strategic planning, policy development, and implementation of college-wide initiatives. + Participate in System Office initiatives, statewide projects, and college committees. + Provide leadership in implementing Minnesota State law enforcement reforms and POST Board requirements. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Minimum Qualifications:** + 5 years of full-time higher education teaching experience. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline substitute for 18 months experience. + Demonstrated leadership experience + Demonstrated experience working across varied backgrounds and perspectives + Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in a relevant discipline + Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice education + Experience as a supervisor, department chair, or program coordinator + Prior experience as a PPOE coordinator + Experience working with the Minnesota POST Board in an official capacity **About Our College** Alexandria Technical & Community College (ATCC) provides quality hands-on and liberal arts education to more than 4,200 students each year, and has been ranked Minnesota’s #1 Community College since 2020 (Wallethub, Niche, and UniversityHQ).
