With very strong research productivity across its various disciplines, the College of Business is AACSB -accredited at the undergraduate and graduate levels and serves approximately 3,000 resident undergraduate business majors, 1,350 resident undergraduate business minors, and 200 resident graduate students enrolled in the Evening MBA , Impact MBA , Master of Accountancy, Master of Finance, and Master of Computer Information Systems. Additionally, the College remains a pioneer in online, distance-delivered education that serves approximately 800 distance graduate students enrolled in the Online MBA , Master of Computer Information Systems, and graduate certificate programs.
One of eight colleges at the University, the College of Business has approximately 70 tenured and tenure track faculty and 36 clinical appointment faculty in the Departments of Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance & Real Estate, Management, and Marketing. Position Summary
Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for the Dean of the College of Business. The Dean reports to the Provost and Executive Vice President, serving as the chief academic and spokesperson for the College on curriculum, personnel, and resource advocacy issues.
We seek a dynamic, passionate, and caring leader with a strong scholarly record, deep academic values, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record in external relations and development, and a proven ability to manage in a way that can be leveraged to lead a world class College of Business.

Required Job Qualifications
+ A terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DBA , JD) in a relevant business field.
+ A record of success in academia commensurate with appointment as a tenured full professor in business.
+ Current or former business school (or related) administrative experience, with a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and leadership in education, research, and scholarly activities—supported by experience in personnel and fiscal management at the level of the dean, department head, program director, or equivalent.
+ Proven ability to effectively lead through a collaborative and accessible leadership style, with strong interpersonal skills to work collegially with staff, faculty, and the community within and beyond the university.
+ Demonstrated ability to provide nimble, forward-thinking leadership that anticipates change and shapes strategic and innovative responses to emerging challenges and opportunities.
+ A demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, fundraising and revenue growth opportunities.
+ A commitment to high standards and professional integrity.
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ Proven track record in fundraising and securing external support.
+ Current or former business school (or related) administrative experience at an R1 institution
+ Demonstrated success in implementation of strategic initiatives across organizational levels, with a collaborative change management style that preserves culture while driving inclusive transformation.
+ Personal qualities that will facilitate open and participatory relationships with various University stakeholders and external constituencies, with a strategic vision aligned to the mission of Business for a Better World.
+ Excellent organizational, planning, supervisory, and problem-solving skills, with the leadership capacity to navigate challenges and advance long-term goals.
+ Familiarity with AACSB accreditation (working knowledge preferred).

+ In this role, the Dean provides strategic direction and operational oversight to develop and advance the College’s vision.
+ Responsibilities include implementing the College’s strategic plan, managing personnel and financial resources, fostering a culture, ensuring fiscal stewardship, advancing fundraising and development priorities, nimbly adapting and responding to challenges, and building strong partnerships across the University, community, and industry.

+ The Dean champions scholarly excellence, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, and positions the College as a thought leader in business education and research, regionally, nationally, and globally.
