This Position reports to:

Service Manager
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide senior technical support to PAEN Canada Service organization and local customers. Serve as a key technical resource for DCS Modernization portfolio. Showcase your expertise by scoping evolution projects, selecting the optimal products and technology to meet customer needs, preparing estimates and supporting content for winning bids and proposals.

Report to Senior Director for Energy Service.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the continuous Service business growth and market penetration for the local Process Automation Energy Industries division in Canada. Main stakeholders are Account Managers, Service Operations and Service Proposals.

Your Role: Own the Challenge 

Utilizing ABB installed base / market analysis tools and analyzing data to confirm market, identify control system evolution and upgrade targets for the sales team and channels.Determining the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries (legacy HMI and control system migrations, 3rd party system replacements, expansions).Consulting clients, exploring and engaging to gain understanding of their high level needs and ensuring full alignment with ABB offers. Expanding proposal scope to include digital solutions and advanced services.Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume and profitability targets for the assigned region (East & Central Canada).Preparing and presenting technology roadmap presentations with technical details and solution offers.Creating product demonstrations utilizing various products and solutionsChampioning key service initiatives for DCS modernization by executing and driving actions, measuring and reporting results.Develop pursuit strategies with Sales.Creating loyalty offers, technology case studies and product-related communications.

What it takes to run what runs the world 

Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Software/ Control SystemsMinimum 15 years of hands-on experience with ABB DCS technologies including Advant, Harmony, Symphony+, Freelance, System 800xA. Such experience must be in engineering, field commissioning, or technical support for both HMI and control systems.High technical aptitude and strong interest to learn new technologies.Minimum 5 years of experience with executing DCS upgrade projects, technology migrations and evolutions.Strong familiarity with ABB's Digital solutions including Cyber Security, Alarm Management, My Control System, Historian, OPC integration.Minimum 3 years is technical sales support and facing customers.Experience working with and supporting Technical Sales Reps and Account Managers.Competent and confident in technical areas. Expert level is desired.Demonstrated creative thinking skills and ability.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.Proven collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
