DC Trade & Customs Manager

Job Description

​WHAT YOU’LL DO​ 

As Trade & Customs Manager, you’ll lead local trade and customs operations, ensuring smooth and compliant international goods flows. Your key responsibilities include: 

Managing daily trade & customs preparations, including customs clearance and documentation for commercial and non-commercial goods Driving process improvements and sustainability in local customs operations Maintaining and updating local SOPs for trade and customs  Leading and developing the Trade & Customs team Overseeing trade budgets, cost monitoring, and invoice reviews Conducting tenders and negotiations for local trade and customs contracts Ensuring compliance with global customs frameworks in close collaboration with Regional and Central teams Supporting customs valuation in coordination with Tax and Accounting Managing customs brokers, local transport service providers, and acting as the main contact for customs authorities Monitoring performance metrics and ensuring alignment with global KPIs Handling post-entry reviews and following up on compliance issues

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost-effective trade and customs operations across the region. Your main collaboration partners will be: 

Regional Trade & Customs teams Central Trade & Customs teams Customs brokers Transport service providers DC teams Tax teams Accounting & Finance teams 

 

WHO YOU ARE​ 

We are looking for people with…​ 

High-level expertise in operational customs, ideally gained in a senior trade/customs role (e.g., customs broker or advisor) Deep understanding of trade compliance, customs procedures, and logistics operations, including local customs regulations Strong operational excellence to meet performance standards in customs, logistics, and supply chain processes Solid commercial and financial acumen to manage budgets, conㅅtrol costs, and align with global financial targets

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations Extensive experience in problem-solving and decision-making to resolve operational challenges efficiently Excellent communication skills to lead teams and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels
