Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Minimum of 3 years in learning, development and training.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in L&D in a manufacturing setting.Position Overview:
The Davenport Operator is responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and
maintenance of multi-spindle turning machines'primarily Davenport machines'to
produce precision-engineered components. The role requires a strong mechanical
aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex engineering
drawings. The Operator will work under the supervision of the Production
Manager and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety,
and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Setup
Operate and set up Davenport multi-spindle turning machines in accordance with
production requirements.
Prepare and install appropriate tooling and materials prior to production runs.
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machinery.
Material Handling
Work with a variety of materials, including Aluminium, 17-4 Stainless Steel,
and exotic alloys such as Inconel 718 and A286.
Ensure correct material handling procedures are followed to prevent damage or
contamination.
Technical & Quality Assurance
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (metric and imperial),
with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing.
Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet design and quality
specifications.
Record production data and maintain accurate documentation as required.
Health & Safety
Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean
manufacturing principles.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the Production Manager and team members to coordinate
workflow and resolve production issues.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
