We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives.
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Database/Server Administrator, Senior. This position is in support of the USAEUR Mission Partner ARN located in Vicenza, Italy. This position is located OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Manages, operates, and maintains Database Management Systems (DBMS) and servers (e.g., SQL) in multiple environments
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge regarding database administration, database systems, and servers
Supports applicable DBMS changes to the database structure
Supports DBMS installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restorations, refreshes, performance optimization, maintenance, setup, and response to alerts and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Ensures applications, interfaces, extensions, forms, and reports integrate with database architectures
Provides documentation on managed servers and databases
Ensures high availability, performance tuning, troubleshooting, change management, and optimization of databases and servers
Monitors and maintains database health, backup and recovery procedures, and implementation of security measures to protect sensitive data
Assists with database design and architecture
Provides recommendations for capacity planning and performs regular audits
Manages storage and indexing strategies
Collaborates with Government MP representatives to ensure database environments are scalable, secure, and aligned with MP goals
Supports database migrations, upgrades, and the implementation of best practices
Mentors other database administrators
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
May supervise others
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret clearance and the ability to maintain
BA/BS +8-12 years experience
Certification – 8140 - Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC
Possesses mastery of database management systems and server administration across multiple complex environments, with emphasis on SQL platforms and comprehensive documentation practices.
Possesses expert knowledge of database architecture, design, and optimization techniques, including advanced storage and indexing strategies, ensuring high performance and scalability aligned with organizational goals.
Exhibits strategic expertise in database migrations, upgrades, and implementation of best practices, while mentoring junior administrators and potentially supervising team members.
Manages critical aspects of database operations, including robust security measures, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and seamless integration with various applications and interfaces.
Collaborates effectively with stakeholders to align database environments with objectives, functioning as a technical expert across multiple high-impact projects.
Applies expert-level problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues, perform regular audits, and provide comprehensive recommendations for system improvements, encompassing all aspects of database health and optimization.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
