We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives.
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Database/Server Administrator, Journeyman. This position is in support of the USAEUR Mission Partner DOCPER located in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position is located OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Manages, operates, and maintains Database Management Systems (DBMS) and servers (e.g., SQL) in multiple environments
Possesses and applies practical knowledge regarding database administration, database systems, and servers
Supports applicable DBMS changes to the database structure
Supports DBMS installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restorations, refreshes, performance optimization, maintenance, setup, and response to alerts and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Ensures applications, interfaces, extensions, forms, and reports integrate with database architectures
Provides documentation on managed servers and databases
Ensures high availability, performance tuning, troubleshooting, change management, and optimization of databases and servers
Monitors and maintains database health, backup and recovery procedures, and implementation of security measures to protect sensitive data
Assists with database design and architecture
Provides recommendations for capacity planning and performs regular audits
Manages storage and indexing strategies
Supports database migrations, upgrades, and the implementation of best practices
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance with the ability to maintain it
BA/BS +4-7 year’s experience
Certification - 8140 - GSEC / Security+
Exhibits extensive knowledge of database management systems, particularly SQL, across multiple environments, including expertise in database migrations, upgrades, and change management.
Demonstrates proficiency in database administration, encompassing installation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and management of storage and indexing strategies.
Possesses strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex database issues, ensuring high availability, and assisting with database design and architecture.
Displays expertise in data security, backup procedures, disaster recovery planning, and ensuring application integration with database architectures.
Shows capability in performance tuning, capacity planning, and implementing best practices for database and server management.
Combines technical proficiency with effective communication skills to provide documentation, recommendations for database improvements, and support for complex work assignments with considerable autonomy.
Demonstrates practical expertise in configuring, maintaining, and upgrading networks and servers, with emphasis on Government or military environments.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
