Don't miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world's best in paediatric healthcare. **Position Description** The Database Manager facilitates the delivery of patient care by providing the maintenance of the congenital cardiac surgical database (ccsdb) and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons STS Registry for the Heart Centre in an accurate, timely, secure and customer-service focused manner. This position provides administrative support to the department. **Here's what you'll get to do** + Represents our site with regard to data acquisition + Coordinates team completion of training and certification + Submits site data collection profiles to STS, keeping profiles updated as changes occur at the individual sites. + Complete initial and quarterly inter-relater reliability (IRR) + Ensures that entire clinical data collection team completes quarterly global IRR. + Oversees and coordinates data collection, ensuring data collection stays current. + Completes periodic team audits. + Communicates team data collection, clinical questions, and technical issues to the STS Help Desk + Data Submission. + Completes site coordinator verifications. + Ensures data submission deadline dates are met + Reviews list of potentially errant data during the manual validations process and makes the appropriate corrections and comments necessary for completion. + Completes report requests as per internal site-specific policies. + Participates in the development of annual program performance reports in collaboration with the physician leader to make decisions regarding the configuration of the comparison group and participates in calls to discuss interpretations and recommendations. **Here's what you'll need** **Essential requirements** + Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program. + Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in good standing. + Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric cardiology + A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion **Preferred qualifications** + Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Database Administration or an equivalent field is preferred. + Database management and programming experience is preferred. + Experience in an administrative position is preferred. + Clinical experience in a Critical Care preferred **Here's what you'll love** + This position is eligible for employee benefits coverage including but not limited to; health, dental and life insurance.
